AI engineer. I build agents, and the harnesses that keep them safe in the real world.

At Vacuums and More I built the systems and agents behind its three stores, taking online sales from zero to $30,000 a month with no ad spend. On my own time I run survive67: three AI agents with real money, their own cards and crypto wallets.

Three AI agents with real money, their own cards and crypto wallets

My own live experiment, separate from the store. I built the harness that keeps it safe: a metered model proxy, a ledger the agents can't write to, spending caps and a kill switch. Then I watched how they behave under pressure.

How I work

  1. 1

    Interview the problem

Every build starts with a structured discovery interview, so I build what's needed, not what's assumed.

  2. 2

    Plan it

A scoped plan with a written definition of done, and the tradeoffs decided before any code.

  3. 3

    Build with agents

I design the plan, the gates and the checks. Claude Code and parallel agents work inside them, and I review everything they ship.

  4. 4

    Verify it

Tests, dry runs and live checks before I call anything done. Then it goes to production.

James Feeney

I build for the business I run.

I was hired as general manager of Vacuums and More's two Connecticut stores. The business had no online presence, so I started building: first the storefront, then the systems behind it.

Today I'm the sole engineer for all three locations and I still run the floor. That shapes how I build. I think about margins, inventory and the staff who use the tools, not just the code.

I studied economics at UConn, with computer science coursework.
